Loving your fair skin!

Fair skin can be one of the most difficult looks to pull off. Finding your correct foundation shade, a lipstick that does not wash you out, or a blush that doesn’t add “clown-like” characteristics can be super tedious, frustrating and expensive!

1.) Find the right foundation! This has got to be one of the hardest tasks for individuals with fair skin and one of the most important. In my experience drugstore foundations tend to be either to orange, dark, or just plain cakey (and we all hate cakey orange foundation)!

**Tip: Take your time finding the right foundation color and don’t be afraid to try out the colors. It’s not fun buying, trying, and then looking orange! I suggest the L’Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation because it offers the perfect amount of coverage, is light enough for my skin tone, adds a nice dewy glow and doesn’t break the bank at $10.00 a bottle!

2.) Brighten up with highlighter and concealer: It’s so easy for fair skin to look dull and “flat”. I always run into dark circles under my eyes which make me look extremely tired.

**Tip: Try applying a concealer under your eyes to reduce dark circles and also apply a highlight to the high points of your face (cheeks, nose, brow bone, and cupid’s bow) to get a light catching radiance. I use Victoria Secret’s highlighter and Mary Kay’s concealer in Ivory 1.

3.) Choose to accentuate one feature on your face (lips or eyes). This will help draw the attention to your face without overwhelming it.

**Tip: Use soft lip colors such as pink and peach tones. Also use more natural shades for your eyes such as champagne, beige, grey, and light browns- avoid colors like bright orange and black which don’t flatter the skin and are to harsh in appearance.

4.) Always wear blush!

This is so important to making your skin look more than one dimensional and healthy. Adding a little blush adds life to the face and give you a warm playful glow.

**Tip: Use light colors such as soft pinks and corals. Try pinching your cheeks to see what color would suite you best! I really like Physician’s Formula Happy Booster Blush because it give you the perfect flushed cheek while smelling absolutely lovely!
